Welcome to the USS Ajax!

Welcome to the USS Ajax!

A new crew of young guns and misfits come together to take the USS Ajax back into space. During the early days of the Gorn Occupation of the Cestus and Canterra sectors the Ajax and it's crew had been ordered to the forward area near the newly created boundary between the Gorn Occupied Territories and the rest of the Federation. She had been tasked with monitoring the border as well as intelligence missions behind enemy lines.

However, as more and more resources were sent to the conflicted area, Ajax and her crew had been pulled further and further back from the frontline, eventually being transferred to Deep Space 6 in an attempt to make up for pulling several of its garrison vessels away and to the border area. Now the Ajax, after several months of disuse sitting empty in a docking bay, prepares to return to the stars.

Hunter couldn't…

Motors engaged, the panel housing the bed popped open, and it began to slide out from the wall. It then made a horrible grinding noise, shuddered on its rails, and came to a halt.

Definitely broken, unless it was a biobed for folks were were real slight of frame.

I am glad to be off of the Station and on board my first ship since entering Star Fleet. The engineering demonstration was amazing and poignant. Nothing teaches damage control like watching the systems fail/go offline and then having the dc measures used/demonstrated.

Boy does that sound strange to say, especially when I remember I'm only a Lieutenant. A week ago I was just another junior officer in charge of a security section on the Gamma Shift. Breaking up late night bar fights and investigating muggings and the occasional robbery…

Dear Jake,

I hope this letter finds you well, and that you are looking after our brother and sisters in my absence. I know mom and dad can be who they are, but with me gone they need someone around to show'em life ain't all fancy dinners and the like.…
